Deb VanMatre

Deb leads the musical ministry at Faith United Church through her service as organist, pianist and leader of the chancel choir and bell choir all as a volunteer. Deb and her husband Nick, are lifelong Gibbonites. They have two children, Craig and Alissa. Craig and his wife, Heidi, live in Norwalk, Iowa. Alissa and her husband, Andrew, and children Baylee and Kinley, live in Gibbon. Deb has been a church member since 1975, and has served as organist since 1979. She majored in music at Kearney State College and studied under Arlene Williams, Gaylene Fowler, Doris Ganz and Nancy Whitman. In addition to Faith United, Deb volunteers her time as an accompanist for the Gibbon High School choir and district music soloists.
